Jackie Lambie is by no means your average politician.
In her own words: “I was born in Ulverstone, on the north-west coast of Tasmania Dad drove trucks, Mum trained at the TAFE in Devonport as a hairdresser. Growing up, we didn't have much, but we made do. Money was tight. We lived in public housing for a while. We didn't mind though. You meet some characters though. I knew early on I wanted to join the army. When I joined aged 18, my parents were over the moon. I decided to join the transport corp. Be a truckie, like dad. I served for nearly 11 years, First in transport then in military police. Tell you what, if you want to learn how to stick up for yourself, try being a 5'4 25-year old woman in the military police!"
Above all else Jackie Lambie is in politics to make things happen. She might at times call a spade a shovel but she's proven time and time again to make things happen for the benefit of many Australians. And Australia is where her heart firmly is. "I aim to get things done on issues that matter. Veterans, anti-corruption, Australian manufacturing, foreign interference, house prices, the bloody health system, and much more!" Recently re-elected for a further term in Federal Parliament she is determined to make a difference in the lives of many Australians.
Don't miss this entertaining politician and her life story on this very special evening.
