APC Dunbar Lunch Feature

Of the 122 souls aboard Dunbar when she was wrecked at South Head on August 20, 1857, only one survived – but it wasn’t the last time James Johnson would have to deal with a shipwreck. Johnson was far from the only person affected by the wreck. Hear about his life, the impact of the wreck on Sydney at the time, and how New South Wales’ deadliest maritime disaster changed a city.

Our Guest Speaker, Meg Keneally the author of The Wreck (2020) and Fled (2019).
