It was wonderful to see the snooker room on level 2 brimming with activity during the Club’s February tournament. Nine new seven-day Members joined to play in the tournament and eight RACA players took part.
Congratulations to Ron Ross from Royal Sydney Golf Club who won the Harry Terrett Invitational, and the Sir Samuel Hordern trophy for best player overall, and congratulations to new Member and Australian billiards representative, Peter Tankard, who won the Club singles trophy and led us in a fun night of billiards.
The Club staff did a superb job throughout the tournament in taking food and drink orders and delivering them efficiently to the snooker room. We even had some spectators on the final night!
We are planning a presentation night for the trophies and we will hold our next Social Night in March which will be open to all Members and guests. Keep an eye out for updates in the Club’s emails and the RACA app.
New players are always welcome (just Google “RACA membership forms” to get the links for the online forms), so please invite people you know we also have free lessons and a social hit available by appointment by contacting the Membership team at marketing@raca.com.au
