Well we have come to the New Year, I wish you all a Happy New Year and I’d like to thank all members who were able to join us for our Fluid Fridays last year - the only way we could keep the engine ticking over whilst the country sorted itself out. We are working on the events for this year and would like to remind our members that the Club will be open in this month (unlike other years) and we will hold a Fluid Friday as normal in January.
In addition, I’d like to remind members that the AXA Sydney Harbour Concours d’Elegance will be held in early March and will include input from several members as well as the Club hosting a Black Tie dinner. Put the 4th to 6th March in your calendar as days to enjoy some of the world’s finest machines. This year the event will also hold The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive for classic cars, dedicated to raising funds for men’s health, contact me for more details.
2021 is a year of launch and even cancellation anniversaries - the Jaguar E-type started production and the last Sydney tram ran from La Perouse to Randwick. The tram network was apparently one of the largest in the Commonwealth prior to being shut down and as we know, the E-type quickly became an instant classic.
The Motoring Steering Committee looks forward to seeing all members during 2021 whether you come by E-type, metro or light rail!
