RACA Motoring joined with the Veteran Car Club of NSW for a visit to the Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum. It was a day of sharing enthusiasm and commitment to maintaining the wonderful veteran cars and the magnificent steam locomotives. The Valley Heights Depot inspired a nostalgic recollection of the days of steam when the depot was used to attached a second locomotive to each train before climbing the mountain to Katoomba. You may note that in one of the photographs you can see the bonnet of Peter Dempsey’s MG RV8 in comfortable association with its motoring ancestors.
This year the Annual Motoring Dinner will be looking forward rather than celebrating past wins and events. The theme for this year’s dinner is “Balancing The Grid”. We will be focusing on why women in motorsport is a positive future and we will be welcoming two young drivers to talk about their careers and how they will win in a male dominated sport.
In addition, we will be celebrating the centenary of Bentley, a marque rich with motorsport success and heritage.
The dinner will be held on August 17th in the Victoria Room, a change from previous events and tickets will be $150 per head. This is an opportunity to hear from two inspirational drivers who have a clear path to success both here in Australia and in international motorsport.
All Members are welcome to join us at Fluid Friday on the last Friday each month. Feel free to be in touch email@example.com
