In last month’s newsletter committee member Avril Fortuin wrote about our very successful tasting/tour on 4 April hosted by Ian Cook from Five Way Cellars in Paddington, and our (then much anticipated) Rockford Dinner on 24 May. Due to editorial cut off times, my report of the Dinner will be in the July newsletter.
So what I thought I’d do this month is give you some preliminary details of our forthcoming events.
Bastille Dinner – Saturday 13 July
Our annual Bastille Dinner is always a great occasion, so please mark it in your diaries. It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate all things French – food, wine, fashion, style etc; so we’re hoping you’ll make a booking, glam it up a bit, and come along. If you’re lucky you might even win one of the best dressed prizes or our wine options game!
We’ll be serving a great selection of French wines from many of Frances’s wine regions chosen by Ian Cook from Five Way Cellars, who’ll be there on the night to present them to you in his inimitable way. Chef will prepare a bespoke menu to complement them.
Details of the menu, wine list and price will be available shortly. However given the popularity of our Bastille Night Dinners, it might be a good idea to book early and secure your place. To do so please contact Ash Hucker from the Club’s Events Team on 8273 2320, or send an email to email@example.com.
Tasting/Tours – Thursday 22 August and 10 October
The themes for these tasting/tours, our last for 2019, are still on the drawing board. We’ll let you have the details as soon as they are available. However given the popularity and value of our tasting/tours, it might be a good idea to mark them in your diaries and ring Ash Hucker to make a booking to secure your place. Please remember there are only 17 places available for each tour.
Thanks so much for supporting our events this year.
