Ladies Committee - July Update

On Monday 28 May 2018, the RACA Ladies Committee held their luncheon with 48 members and their guests in attendance.

The guest speaker was Mrs Anne Schofield of “Anne Schofield’s Antiques” who sells beautiful jewellery from 18th Century to the 1950’s.

Anne is a member of the International Society of Jewellery Historians and the Australian Antique and Art Dealers Association. Anne gave us a fabulous talk on early Australian Jewellery and her book with her co-author the late Kevin Fahy “Australian Jewellery 19th and Early 20th Century”.

The Ladies Committee’s next luncheon will be on Monday 30 July 2018, and the guest speaker and her topic will be Jo-Anne Hewitt, Executive Director Disability, The Benevolent Society.

Jo-Anne has over 35 years’ experience in the not for profit sector and is Chair of Centre for Disability Studies, a world renowned research and education institute affiliated with University of Sydney. Jo-Anne will be speaking on the history of the Benevolent Society and how it has progress to what it is today.

Everyone is invited to attend.

Regards,
(Mrs.) Margaret Dawes-Smith, OAM
President, RACA Ladies Committee.
