Italian Food and Wine Night

Almost 30 members and their guests pampered their taste buds and went to Italy in the ISC Room on August 10. And the biggest discovery was that there is no such thing as “Italian Food”.

Executive Chef Rebecca Kaye assembled some mouth-watering dishes with ingredients and techniques from several diff erent regions of Italy. These were accompanied by a sensational collection of Italian wines most of which were named after both good and fallen angels. Guest speaker Mario Die Nicola of Deni Foods International not only brought along some authentic Parmigiano Reggiano and olive oils from Italy but he shared with us a pictorial journey through techniques used by the most prestigious Italian food makers for curing the best Prosciutto and Parmesan cheese.

All present agreed this event should be a regular on the gastronomic calendar for the Club
