I’m pleased to report our ‘Various Pinots from Various Places’ tasting/tour held in the Vintage Room on 16 February was a sell-out success. Where else for $85 would you get to sit down and leisurely taste 12 Pinots both white and red from all over the world bracketed with 5 small matching food courses?
The Pinots included a Pinot Noir base Champagne; an Italian rosato style Pinot Grigio; a selection of French and Italian Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Grigio; a selection of Australian, French, and German Pinots Noir; a selection of Australian Pinots Meunier, and a late-picked Australian Pinot Gris to finish. The 5 food courses included a twice-cooked goats cheese soufflé served with the whites, medallions of veal served with the Pinots Noir, and a Trinity Cellars Blue cheese to accompany the Pinots Meunier.
Our tasting/tours are relaxed, informal and educative evenings designed to appeal to those members and their guests seeking an introduction to the wonderful world of wine or to expand their existing knowledge. They’re held in the seated comfort of the Vintage Room, and as only 16 places are available I suggest you book early.
